My First Custom Necklace

I was very fortunate to have a lady ask me to make her a necklace to match a shirt she had recently purchased. I was overjoyed!! "Of course" I told her. "It would be an honor". So here is a picture of the Shirt that was the inspiration behind the necklace.

For the necklace, I used an 18" Swarovski Chain, Swarovski Crystals, 10mm Pink Fossil Beads, 8mm Neon Hot Pink Fossil Beads, Pink Round Mother of Pearl Beads, Pink and Black Swarovski Elements, and a Pink Swarovski Flower Charm.

I hand wrapped each bead onto the chain.

 

I was worried she might want something a little flashier, but she was thrilled with the way it turned out and had me make a matching set of earrings!!!

I am so glad I was able to create something that made her very happy.

Princess Pink Glittered Skates by ElsaLAbbe

I was browsing on Facebook as I do almost every morning when I stumbled upon these beauties by ArtFire Artist ElsaLAbbe.

She transformed these baby skates into a work of art by re-painting them pink and dusting them with a gold color glitter.

The skates measure approximately 7" long at the blade and comes with a matching ribbon you could use for hanging.

A perfect gift for a little girl, skater, or anyone that likes to collect small items.

My Crafty Side

I see so many beautiful things made by some very talented artists and I thought, "What the heck, lets do something crafty."

The only problem was I had no idea what to make, how to make it, or even where to start!!

Luckily I found a wooden box. I thought to myself "I could do something with this."

So after staring at this box for a while I decided to make a trinket box. Nothing fancy, (I do not have the skill set at this time for that), but something pretty a little girl or teenager could use.

I also stumbled upon an unfinished Door Tag...you know...the kind you see at hotels that says "Do Not Disturb".  I decided to match it to the trinket box.

My Blog Make-Over

My "Blog" has undergone a HUGE transformation. I have changed everything, (ok, not me per say, but my Money did....lol).

I want to thank Sharon of Plumerose Lane for helping create such a beautiful platform for my "New" "Old" Blog. I totally LOVE the way it has turned out!!!!

Sharon is one of the most patient, talented, ready to please artists I have ever worked with. She did not once communicate her frustration at all the little details that we had to go back and forth with. (She might have thought them, haha, but she kept it to herself!!)

I also love how she seemed to understand what I was asking for based on unintelligible input.....something like....I want that purple thingie, where the other stuff is....hahahaha.

Pretty Things that Cheer Me Up

Everyone goes through a rough patch every now and then, but that doesn't mean we still can't find the beauty around us if we look hard enough! I thought it would be nice to share a few things I think are pretty and meaningful with everyone.
