I feel in love with this Tag she made.
I just love the colors, textures, and especially the inspirational sentiment by Eleanor Roosevelt.

I have it sitting on my work table where I can always see it so I don't forget what I am trying to accomplish!
Now trying to make a tag worthy of my very talented friend was a little more difficult than I thought.
I finally decided on a color pallet......Blue and Purple.
Astrid tends to use more earth tones, however, I wanted to stay true to my style...thus Purple...lol.
Though the blue is different!!

This is the Tag I sent Astrid
I hope she likes it and is not too disappointed.
I used Distress Inks in blue and lavender. You can purchase these from the "Funkie Junkie Boutique"
I then took scraps of seam binding I had lying around and inked them to match.
I used Modge Podge to adhere it to the tag and give it a shiny look.

For my Sentiment I chose a quote by Piccaso
"Art Washes Away from the Soul the Dust of Everyday Life"......such a beautiful phrase!!

I took a piece of card stock paper, crumpled it up quite a bit and then used my distress inks.
I used a black felt tip marker to write the words.
(I don't know how to get the pretty fonts like in Astrid's tag.)

I had to add Roses of course.....just wouldn't be me without them....lol! I used silver Stickles to highlight them and to help blend them with the swirly scroll trim, the Victorian Shoe, Victorian Purse, and the Butterfly. I even stuck a little fairy on the butterfly....hahaha.
I then found a few matching ribbons and trims for the top and "Viola".....the tag is finally complete.
Thank you again Astrid for such a beautiful and meaningful creation of yours!!

Tracie it is totally beautiful, I love everything about it and will be very, very happy to receive it and I am not just saying that, believe me! I love the colours, I love the way you have arranged the embellishments and I really, really like the way you have crumpled the card with that inspiring quote, one of my favourites!!
