My ATC Swap with ArtJoyStuff

Happy Monday my bloggy friends!
Hope everyone had a decent weekend.
It rained where I am.
I have not seen sunshine in over a week....Yuck! Starting to get depressing.

I am swapping ATCs with my friend Kimberly from the blog ArtJoyStuff.
I LOVE her work!
She is so talented and comes up with the most amazing pieces!
You should drop by her blog and take a look around.
Just be prepared for "ooohing, and awwwing"!

This is the ATC I am lucky enough to receive from Kim.
I just LOVE the moon!!
This is the ATC I made for her.
I hope she likes it.
I have called it "Nature".
I used a brownish green fabric as the main background.
Then I added a piece of burlap diagonally for something different.
The focal bird pendant is one of my favorites.
I have been holding onto it for just the right occasion.
I added a trim of green leaves with a pretty little rose to help accent the "Nature" theme and finished it off with a butterfly at the top.
Thank you for dropping by!

The "Pretty" ATC Swap

Happy Friday all my wonderful bloggy friends.
Welcome to my new followers! I am thrilled you could join us.

Today I want to show you the ATCs I made for a swap hosted by ArtJoyStuff.
The theme is "Pretty".  I hope these qualify.
I used papers from Prima's Firefly Collection.
The three dimensional stickers I have had sitting around forever and I thought they went with the papers perfectly.
Here are a few close ups.

Thank you all for dropping by.

My Tag Swap with Astrid

First off I want to say there is still time to Enter my Bracelet Giveaway.
See the Details HERE

Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend!

I want to say Welcome to all my new followers. I appreciate you all!!

I was very lucky to have my friend and amazing artist Astrid, from the blog "Astrid's Artistic Efforts" agree to swap tags.

I feel in love with this Tag she made.

I just love the colors, textures, and especially the inspirational sentiment by Eleanor Roosevelt.
I have it sitting on my work table where I can always see it so I don't forget what I am trying to accomplish!

Now trying to make a tag worthy of my very talented friend was a little more difficult than I thought.

I finally decided on a color pallet......Blue and Purple.
Astrid tends to use more earth tones, however, I wanted to stay true to my style...thus Purple...lol.
Though the blue is different!!

This is the Tag I sent Astrid
I hope she likes it and is not too disappointed.

I used Distress Inks in blue and lavender. You can purchase these from the "Funkie Junkie Boutique"

I then took scraps of seam binding I had lying around and inked them to match.
I used Modge Podge to adhere it to the tag and give it a shiny look.

For my Sentiment I chose a quote by Piccaso
"Art Washes Away from the Soul the Dust of Everyday Life"......such a beautiful phrase!!
I took a piece of card stock paper, crumpled it up quite a bit and then used my distress inks.
I used a black felt tip marker to write the words.
(I don't know how to get the pretty fonts like in Astrid's tag.)
I had to add Roses of course.....just wouldn't be me without them....lol!  I used silver Stickles to highlight them and to help blend them with the swirly scroll trim, the Victorian Shoe, Victorian Purse, and the Butterfly.  I even stuck a little fairy on the butterfly....hahaha.

I then found a few matching ribbons and trims for the top and "Viola".....the tag is finally complete.

Thank you again Astrid for such a beautiful and meaningful creation of yours!!

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Wandering Gypsy ATCs and a FREE Desktop Collage

Recently I did an ATC Swap with the theme "Wandering Gypsy".
This time I decided to go digital using various free images from the web.

Since I still can't figure out how to layer images in PSP I went with "piZap" to create the digital collage.
This first image "Gypsy Highway" was created using the Gypsy lady with instrument and a winding road image.
I could not find a suitable "Road Sign" I could use to say "Gypsy Highway"...lol

I did this first image in black and white.
I embellished with black and white fur trim and a silver star.
The image "Gypsy Wonder Lust" was created using one of my favorite Gypsy images.

I used a Gypsy Caravan image I had to re-size and then blended my Gypsy.
Her image also holds red roses in her hand but I covered that with a mini sized rose highlighted with gold stickles.

For the boarder I just used more "fur" in a matching golden color.
"Gypsy Dreams" is my favorite of the three on a whole.

I found an image of the universe and then added my pretty Gypsy along with a few digital sparkles.

This image has a purplish lavender color in the background so I used a matching rose I highlighted with stickles.
I then used a matching blue "fur" boarder.

These ATCs were more about the IMAGE than the Embellishments.

I also made a Desktop Collage with all three images superimposed.
I personally think it looks kind of cool so maybe you guys would like to download it and do something with it. Just right click and save.
I think a pretty frame or boarder of some type would help it look more finished.
(I don't know how to do that yet either.....lol)

Thank you so much for dropping by!
I would LOVE to know what you think.

Whimsy Garden ATCs

I want to welcome my new followers and thank everyone for dropping in.

Today I have a few ATCs I made for a "Whimsy Garden" Swap I joined in.

I printed 2 of each card so I could cut out the extra adding adhesive to give it a 3D effect.
I then added a Rainbow colored "Fur" fringe around the boarder highlighting the flowers, butterflies and birds with glitter.

Hope my swap partners are not disappointed.
Don't forget you still have time to enter my Pink Pearls Bracelet Giveaway.
You can find that post with the details here.

7th Annual Bead Soup Blog Party - Reveal #2

Welcome everyone. I am so happy you could drop by for the "2nd Reveal" of The Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by the amazing and talented Lori Anderson from the blog "Pretty Things"
If you missed the first Reveal don't worry...you can find the huge list of participants here.

This is my first year participating in this amazing event and after seeing all the magnificent pieces created by other Designers, I have to admit I am a little out of my league.
I hope you and my partner Jeanne like what I came up with.

My partner Jeanne Steck is a first grade Teacher as well as an amazing Jewelry Designer. Stop by her blog "Gems by Jeanne Marie" to see some of her amazing work or purchase one of her creations from her Etsy Shop.

This is the "Soup" Jeanne sent me.

And this is what I cooked up!!
My first thought was to make a bracelet.
The handmade clasp Jeanne sent me is so beautiful!
After working about half way through the bracelet it hit me....this piece didn't want to BE a bracelet.
I was not at all happy with the way it was turning out.
(Just think of all that wasted wire...........Grrrrrr!!!)

I was looking at the beautiful focal bead and decided I would turn it into a Purskey/Purse Charm/Key Chain.
I used the clasp Jeanne sent as part of the chain.
I clustered many, many, of her beautiful beads and the focal bead on one part of the clasp.
I used the other part of the clasp at the top of the chain and attached the lobster clasp and a few extra beads to it.

Talk about thinking outside of the box....lol
.
I want to Thank my partner Jeanne again for such beautiful beads to work with and a special Thank you to Lori for hosting such an amazing event.

Blissfull ATC March Fabric Swap

Today I want to show everyone I what I came up with for the March "Fabric ATC Swap" from Blissfull Agnels ATC Swap

We were to make 3 ATCs using fabric of some kind to send to our assigned partner.

I went with a Ballet theme with pink...(lol...I didn't have purple!!)
I used a pretty pink cardstock paper as my background.  I then used Ballerina Images I found from the Jodie Lee Designs Blog. I just LOVE her style.
I used lots of tiny Roses, Swarovski Crystal Bling, Buttons, and hot pink Tulle.
I even added a little sentiment for each one.
I noticed on the photos the second one has a boo-boo....lol.
Part of the Crystal Crown is on her nose.....Oooops..hahaha
I decided to show you anyway.

Hope you guys and my partner like it!

Thank you for dropping by

My One on One Tag Swap with Carole

My good friend Carole, of Carole's Soulfelt Creations and I decided it would be fun to do a Tag Swap.

I love Carole along with her inspiring creations and words of wisdom.
I have truly been blessed in finding such a gem of a friend!!

Below is the tag I sent Carole.
She mentioned she loved the color Turquoise so I just went with it from there.

I used heavy duty cardstock paper with an embossed glitter design.
I then found this lovely image of a Fairy/Angel that matched perfectly.
I used lots of flowers in various turquoise shades along with purple roses.
I enhanced the Roses with silver stickles to make them stand out.
I also added a few purple leaf style glass beads.
I added a very pretty white butterfly along with ribbon in turquoise and purple.
I think it turned out very whimsical.
I also sent her a few goodies
I forgot to take pictures so I borrowed this one from her blog
Below is the beautiful Tag Carole sent me!!

I love how she made the beautiful pastel background.
I also love all the little Roses she added.....I just gotta have my Roses...lol!
I also love the cameo piece along with the purple butterfly and beautiful stick pin.
There are so many beautiful elements to this tag and I love them ALL!!
Carole also sent me some goodies, but I didn't take any pictures...oops!
I am horrible about that. (Sorry Carole).

I do love everything she sent.
My favorite being a hand made hankie she did years ago.
If I ever do a Memory Box, that is definitely going in!!!

Carole also used some of the goodies I sent her to make a Gorgeous Lace Book!
You must check out the post on her Blog  "My Lace Book"
I "Borrowed" a few of her pictures and made this collage.
However, there are many more beautiful images on her post.
Thank you again Carole for everything!!!
