I Love Peacocks!

Hello my wonderful bloggy friends. Welcome. 

I have been MIA for a bit. 

Classes have been taking up most of my time.

I have missed all of you and look forward to seeing what you have been up to. 

Today I want to show this gorgeous Peacock wallpaper I found on Pinterest entitled "Green" from the website hgjart.com

In my opinion he looks like he is saying 

"I am pretty and King of the World".

My Symbol of the Sun and Moon

Happy Friday Blogland!! Hope you are looking forward to the weekend. I know I am!! I plan on sleeping  most of it...lol

Today I am going to show you my first ever drawing. 

Part of my work for my Graphic Design class was to design and draw a symbol for the Sun and Moon. 

We could either pick one or combine them. I chose to combine them.

Please no laughing, or throwing of tomatoes and raw vegetables; that would just make your computer screen all messy.

Basically my symbol is a representation of how opposition can lead to unity.

Though it does look more like a first grader's artwork; have I mentioned I CAN NOT draw.....lol

I would love to know what YOUR interpretation is!!

A Lady of Pink Roses Shabby Collage

Bellydancer Challenge at Lunagirl

Good Monday Blogland!

There is rain, rain, rain, and more rain where I am. I hate it!! Very depressing. 

Also makes walking the half mile to class a huge pain in the "you know what"!!

A Digital Image Made Just for You

Happy Sunday all my wonderful bloggy friends.

A huge warm welcome to my new followers. I am honored you joined us.

I have for you today a digital image I created. 

I hope you like it. 

I thought the colors were perfect for a Fall image.

Just right click and save.

The main background was a freebie from Astrid of the blog "Astrid's Artistic Efforts". I just love her work and highly recommend popping over there if you are not already familiar with her beautiful creations.

I used one of my favorite images of a little vintage girl with a golden crown. I think she is so pretty! 

The gold frame I used was from my "Artful Photoshop" class.

I added a few roses and matching feathers to compliment Astrid's background, and added a few roses to the little girl's hands.

I did a lot of playing around with the blending modes. 

One of these days I will understand what they are instead of just hitting them until I find a look I want....lol

I Won a Crazy Quil Purse by Pat Winter

I was lucky to participate in the Crazy Quilting 101 class through the "Artful Gathering" event.

I have admired Pat's work for what seems like forever, so the opportunity to learn anything from her was an extreme honor.

At the beginning of class everyone had a chance to throw their name in the pot to win one of Pat's amazing Crazy Quilt purses. 

I WON!!!!

I am now the proud new owner of a beautiful Crazy Quilt purse and the details are absolutely amazing!!!! Thank you again Pat!!!

I used the photo from Pat's Blog "Pat Winter Gatherings", because I have just not had the time to take my own pictures. I will soon though along with pictures of my Crazqy Quilt purse.

Just a Few Tags I Love

I Love Roses #7

My Father's Day Tag

Hello Blogland!

Welcome to all my New Followers. It is such an honor to have you here.

Today I want to share a Father's Day Tag I created. 

It is a little on the girly side....haha.

My printer is out of ink so I could not print any manly images. 

I was stuck looking through my very limited stash of supplies and came across the little chipboard tag of a man and woman.

(I like to think of it as Father and Daughter...big stretch I know!!)

I used a light blue textured paper, then added a journal card from the Prima "Nature Garden" Collection.

I glued the man and woman in the middle.

The words "For The Best Dad Ever", I wrote myself with black ink and used Distress inks in blue and ivory on a strip of scrap paper I had lying around.

I used patterned scissors to cut out the words.

I then used a burlap trim on the top and bottom in an attempt

to stay away from too many frills!!!

I had a few metal trinkets, the word "Explore",  and a Compass to help embellish along with a flower and bow in matching colors. 

I found a little bird sticker and used it at the top of the tag.

I hope you like my "Girly" Father's Day Card.
